Rana Maalouf is a multidisciplinary Beirut based film director, born in 1994.

Rana believes in the power of storytelling to impact behaviors and empower brands.

She graduated with honors from the Lebanese University, Institute of Fine Arts and holds a bachelor degree in Film directing. Her senior short film "Silence Equilateral" was selected by several festivals among which the European film festival (2014) and the Festival International du Film Oriental de Geneve (FIFOG) in 2015. After her graduation, she explored different aspects of the film industry by working on film sets in the Production and Directing departments with directors such as Mazen Khaled (A petty bourgeois dream), Marwan Khneisser (The Servants), Bahij Hojeij (Good Morning), Anne Zohra Berrached (Co-pilot). During those years she expanded her knowledge of the film industry by working for film festivals: the Lebanese Film Festival (2016 & 2018) as general coordinator, and the Dubai International Film Festival (2016 & 2017) as program liaison and publications coordinator. Since 2018, she is pursuing what she enjoys most: directing. She started by directing short documentary formats for clients like UNICEF, NOOREED, and ENDEAVOR. In 2019, she won a bid by UNDP for the creation and direction of a regional educational music video aiming to raise awareness on the intl UN - SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). The music video has around 1 million views on Youtube. In 2020, she directed her first TVC campaign for TOTERS with Publicis Beirut. The campaign induced the highest numbers of app downloads for Toters. Since then, she enjoys exploring diverse formats for brands and organizations such as UNIDO, UNICEF, UNHCR, Strategy&, Sanita, Fine, Nada (KSA) and is looking to grow her career in the filmmaking industry.
