ALEXANDRE El HABRE
Multidisciplinary artist
Born in Dahr Al Baydar, Lebanon, Alexandre El Habre is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of performance, installation, scenography, visual arts, and dance.
Based in Beirut, he holds a degree in Interior Architecture from the Lebanese University Furn El Shebbak and pursued further studies in Fine Arts at the same institution, developing a spatial sensitivity intertwined with sensorial and corporeal exploration.
In 2020, his passion for the poetry of movement led him to undertake intensive classical and contemporary training at Art & Movement dance school, studying with Alice Massabki, the school’s founder, and Caroline Hatem developing his bodily language and deepen his artistic universe, combining performance, scenography, and installation.
In 2022, Alexandre took part in The Valley of Sleep, directed by Yara Boustany in Beirut, later presented in 2025 at Berlin’s Tanz im August festival. In 2024, he created the site-specific performance L’AUTRE in Karantina within SHARBAKAT by Amalgam Beirut, followed by Plastispheres during Amalgam Studio’s 10th-anniversary residency. In 2025, he collaborated with Elias Haddad on Hallucinations Orientales, an installation combining performance, video, digital scenography, and costume design, presented at the 23BIS festival in Strasbourg.
He also teaches sculpture, painting, and other art disciplines in Beirut.
